SKA Membership Meeting - May 13th, 2019

Join us Monday May 13^th for our regular SKA monthly meeting.  We will at Dogwood Elementary at 705 Tipton Ave. at 5:30 p.m. for a great opportunity to be part of a NARCAN/Naloxone training.

Our guest speaker for the evening will be Eric Landry, Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist with the Metro Drug Coalition.  

This meeting will provide education on the proper use and advantages of the overdose medication NARCAN. The presentation includes the steps in dealing with an overdose, reducing the stigma surrounding addiction, and Good Samaritan Laws. Those in attendance will be certified to administer NARCAN effectively. The presentation will also provide information on local referral sources and statistics on Knox County overdose trends.
