10:30 am - 12:30 p.m.
(All Ages) Join Ijams naturalist Stephen Lyn Bales for this fun and light-hearted look into the secret world of our feathered friends. The fee for this program is $5 for Ijams members and $8 for non-members. Light brunch included. - GARDENING SERIES: Winter Gardening
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Join Ijams’ own green thumb Peg Beute as she stays cool in the garden. We’ll talk about keeping plants warm in cold temperatures, what grows well in the winter, and even what produce can be started from seed this time of year. We’ll also have some seeds on hand for you to take home and try in your own winter garden. This program is FREE of charge, but pre-registration is required.
- BIRDING SERIES: Birding Brunch
- Marble Springs - Painting En Plein Air workshop from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Guests will get to participate in a beginning step-by-step paining, creating a landscape image of the scenic historic site. Previous painting experience is not required. ($35 covers the cost of supplies. Bring a sack lunch.) To register, please call (865) 573-5508.
