- Marble Springs - tour several historic structures that are designed to represent various aspects of John Sevier’s life and times, including the Tavern, Loom House, Smoke House, Spring House and the John Sevier Cabin and detached kitchen.
- Ijams Nature Center:
- Tennessee Craft East presents Art in the Valley: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Art in the Valley is a Southern Fine Arts and Craft Festival that celebrates the handmade arts during both the American Craft and Tennessee Craft Weeks. Join the celebration of regional artists who will be displaying works in a variety of media including wood, clay, photography, glass, jewelry, apparel and more. This one-day juried show will also feature demonstrations, local foods & family fun.
- Black Mountain Rock Climbing: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attend the climbing school for a step-by-step series about the technique you need to tackle real rock and the skills you should know before getting outside on your own. This series will benefit beginner and advanced climbers. Finish off with a full day climbing trip where you can use your new skills. The fee for this program is $115 per person and is recommended for ages 10 and up. For more information and to register, please call (865) 577-4717, ext. 110.

The South Knoxville Alliance is spearheading an effort to promote all of South Knoxville with upcoming 2nd Saturday South events on Nov. 12 and Dec. 10. Businesses are offering special discounts and neighborhoods are also encouraged to participate.
