SKA Medication Take Back Event

Health Living Expo LogoOn April 29th, the SKA will partner with Knox County Solid Waste for a Medication Take Back Event. This event is in conjunction with the Healthy Living Expo and will be at Food City (7608 Mountain Grove Dr. – near the intersection of John Sevier and Chapman Hwy. [view map]).

Saturday’s event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bring all your unused, expired and/or unneeded medications to the event and they will be disposed of properly.

In addition to the Medication Take Back Event, Ecyclers USA will be on hand to take your electronic waste* (check out their website under the 'Services' menu for a list of accepted items) and Smith and Hammaker will have a shred truck to help everyone safely get rid of unwanted/unneeded documents.

Medic Regional Blood Center will also have their mobile blood mobile on site for our event.

SKA will also host a booth where South Knoxville residents and business owners can learn about SKA and our efforts to promote the businesses of South Knoxville.

*NOTE: There is a $10/CRT TV/Monitor charge for disposal fee. Normally, there is a $.50/lb charge for these items. There is no charge for flat screen TV/Monitors.
